New director in the house!
SACC-SF/SV is pleased to welcome Margaretha Levander as the chamber’s new executive director, a position that she will share with the current executive director Catrin Anckarman.
“I was attracted by the organization’s mission to build a modern chamber of commerce, and to facilitate and develop business relations between Sweden and Silicon Valley”, Margaretha Levander said.
Margaretha Levander comes to SACC-SF/SV with several years of experience as an editor and business journalist for Dagens Industri, Affärsvärlden and Dagens Nyheter in Sweden. The last two years she has worked as a freelancer with her own company in Los Altos, and as an opinion editor for Dagens Samhälle.
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO…
April offered a wide range of events and activities, starting with an inspiring event with Swedens App-Queen, Susan Birgersdotter. Magnus Björsne, CEO at Astra Zenica BioVentureHub and Ulf Landin, Director at Business Region Gothenburg, visited from Sweden for a business delegation within Life Science. We also welcomed five European start-ups to pitch at our popular event European Pitch Night. Furthermore, we talked about disruptive storytelling for employee engagement at Belcham with Susan Lindner and hosted our beloved Networking After Work at Jones in San Francisco.
