Top entrepreneurs and venture capitalists will tell their stories, and three of Sweden’s hottest startups will face two Silicon Valley-based wildcards in a Dragons’ Den inspired pitch competition.

The event Female Founders is part of a new partnership between SACC-SF/SV and Dagens Industri, the largest Nordic financial newspaper.

“This is an event for everybody that believes that diversity among founders, entrepreneurs and in boards and management teams make us stronger,” said Margaretha Levander, co-executive director of SACC in San Francisco.

Three finalists from an earlier pitch competition in Stockholm will travel to San Francisco, where they in a final will meet two U.S. wild cards.

Top entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, with a story to tell, will be interviewed on stage.

Last year this event was held in Stockholm and in New York. This year is the first time this Swedish-American event is held in San Francisco.
